LEDs and the Future

In a recent report by Goldman Sachs, it was reported that, “The rapid adoption of LEDs in lighting marks one of the fastest technology shifts in human history”.  This is due in part to “sharp cost reductions and performance improvements, relatively short replacement cycles for incumbent technologies, and aggressive policy support (including bans on incandescent technology in major markets such as the US, the EU and China)” as detailed in the recent report “The Low Carbon Economy” by Goldman Sachs.

LEDs reduce the amount of energy used, thereby reducing the amount of carbon emissions produced by the burning of fossil fuels.  In fact, the benefits to the climate and energy needs are so great the U.S. Department of Energy has been working to advance the technology and support the deployment of LEDs for over 15 years.

The demand for LEDs is booming and that demand is being met in many creative ways.  For many customers, being able to adjust the lighting (not just the brightness, but also the color) is important.  For example, many car dealerships want to showcase the cars on display in the best possible light, and being able to tweak the colors of their lighting is important.   To save energy, many customers want lights that can communicate with each other.  This is made possible by the microchip technology of LED drivers.  In fact, the applications of this technology is growing every day.

As more companies have seen the benefits of switching to LED lighting, the demand to be creative and responsive to their needs is crucial.  Lights There is committed to providing the best customer service in every aspect of our business.
